Unchanging and universal forms

Human-sized boats at scale with their surroundings Human-size boats are intrinsically linked with nature and the lives of the people, who use them. They are the local response to a local economy. The first boats presented in this area are every light, braided or assembled from branches, covered with skins or tarred canvases. Where the forests are dense, we use the technique of hollowed tree trunks; monoxyl boats. These boats are immutable, not having changed for millions of years, and universal as the same construction techniques are found all over the globe. Moreover, most are still in use, as they are contemporary with modern boats.
