Eclaireur II, sailing boat for leisure
Eclaireur II is a large leisure dinghy, built by the Matonnat shipyard for a boat show at Paris in 1958. Boat shows enabled buyers to place their orders and manufacturers to exhibit their best products. Eclaireur II sailed on the bay of Saint-Brieuc. Its hull is luxurious with its ash frames. The board-sides are made with varnished mahogany, the fittings are bronze, originally chrome. The boat’s helm is in the shape of a racket enabling the helmsman to manoeuvre the rudder to its full capacity irrespective of his position on the boat.
