This wheelhouse belonged to the trawler Saint Quido, built by Hénaff in Guilines in 1966 and belonging to Loctudy. From 1981 it covered immense areas (from the Bay of Biscay to the Azore) to fish tuna. Steered by a crew of 6, its campaigns lasted between 18 days and a 1 month. It has two Baudouin diesel engines. The wheelhouse was the nerve centre of a boat: sheltering the navigation instruments, tools for controlling and commandeering additional machines, the electronic equipment and the radio. The two hatches on the floor, gave access to the engine room and the crew quarters.
