Wooden tank

The wooden tank you see here (similar to a cylindrical tank except it has no “mouth”), is submerged, which is necessary in order to preserve live shellfish. It was necessary to create a chain of tanks: first on board of the boat, then in the harbours, transport vehicles and at the end of the chain, at fishmongers and in restaurants.
